Gateway to Growth: European Capital for East Africa

The Africa Forward Summit (Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth) will take place in Kenya on 11–12 May 2026, marking the first time it is being held in an Anglophone country. Co-hosted by the Government of Kenya and France, the Summit is a major diplomatic and economic gathering focused on moving from dialogue to actionable partnerships in areas such as AI, energy, and green industrialisation, and is expected to bring together more than 1,500 CEOs, policymakers, and global leaders.
On the fringes of this landmark event, EuroCham Kenya is delighted to convene, in partnership with MEDEF International, a high-level executive breakfast in Nairobi. The session will focus on the mobilisation of private capital for strategic projects in East Africa, exploring how to translate policy ambition into bankable projects and how European initiatives can more effectively crowd in private investment into key infrastructure and development sectors.
Alongside key insights from MEDEF International, the European Union Delegation to Kenya will present its Global Gateway initiative and Investment Hub, outlining key financing and partnership mechanisms designed to accelerate sustainable infrastructure and development projects across the region. The discussion will also draw on the experience of leading French and European private sector actors, offering practical perspectives on structuring and scaling investment in African markets.
We are delighted to welcome the international business community to this breakfast session, which will provide a focused platform to align stakeholders on investment priorities, project preparation and practical mechanisms to accelerate delivery on the ground.
